Denbighshire County Council is reminding residents of changes to traffic enforcement on Bodfor Street and Queen Street in Rhyl. Work is underway on an 18-month trial of town centre improvements after Denbighshire County Council was successful in its bid for Welsh Government funding. The funding, part of the Local Sustainable Transport COVID Response Fund 2020-21, will be used to introduce improvements that facilitate social distancing and make it easier for people to travel actively within town centres. A Premises Improvement Notice has been served to The Hafod, Devil’s Bridge, Aberystwyth by Ceredigion County Council’s Public Protection Officers due to non-compliance with The Health Protection (Coronavirus Restrictions) (No. 4) (Wales) Regulations 2020. Two Fine Art graduates from University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD) Swansea College of Art have won places on the Artists Benevolent Fund’s Step Change Fellowship Programme. Pontyclun company Floodlighting and Electrical has been awarded the contract by Cardiff Council to install the city’s Christmas lights for the next four years. More than 9,000 trees have been planted in and around Llanidloes thanks to one man’s effort to bring the community together to fight climate change. Swansea Council’s award-winning pension fund is on course to cut its carbon footprint to 50% of index levels by next year, Full Council will be told next week.
