Nine people in Cardiff are celebrating today after winning £1,000 each thanks to their lucky postcode. The Felbrigg Crescent neighbours netted the windfall when CF23 8SE was announced as a Daily Prize winner with People’s Postcode Lottery on Friday 8th May 2020. Minister for North Wales Ken Skates today urged people to carry on complying with the restrictions to protect themselves and others against coronavirus. The new service is provided by Newport-based Veezu, and delivered by the driver partners of V Cars, the South West’s biggest private hire taxi firm. The organisers behind two headline gigs planned to take place at Cardiff Castle this summer have announced their postponement as a result of the Coronavirus outbreak. With social distancing measures likely to be in place for the foreseeable future, DEPOT Live has rescheduled both FOALS and DEPOT in the Castle, which will be headlined by indie rockers The Kaiser Chiefs. Cardiff Bus drivers are set to mark the 75th anniversary of VE Day on Friday as services run on altered timetables for the early May Bank Holiday. Drivers will pull over, where safe to do so, at 11am on May 8th to observe a two minute silence to honour the service and sacrifice of the Second World War generation, 75 years on from VE Day. Food Innovation Wales has launched a tool kit of useful templates and links to support Welsh food and drink manufacturers during the COVID-19 outbreak.
