The Vale of Glamorgan Council has said it is set to approve a new Placemaking Plan alongside Barry Town Council this month. Placemaking focuses on working together to improve the places where people live, work and spend time. It involves listening to local communities and using new ideas to make towns and neighbourhoods more welcoming, vibrant and useful for everyone. Five men have been sentenced for their roles in the theft of cattle worth over £20,000 from a farm on Anglesey. A total of 14 cows were stolen from a rural, secluded shed on the outskirts of Llanerchymedd shortly before midnight on 10 December 2022. Bridgend County Borough Council has successfully bid for Welsh Government regional transport funding worth more than £3.5m to help support the cost of replacing the A4061 river bridge at Blackmill. With the council contributing an additional £1.5m, the funding means that work to replace the bridge can now proceed.
