An education expert and a campaigner for deaf children’s rights have been chosen to represent Wales in this year’s British Council international programme for young leaders, Future Leaders Connect. The five firefighters, who hail from Stations right across the South Wales area, committed to an intense training schedule in preparation for the annual Challenge at Morton in the Marsh, Fire Service College. The announcement was made today by the FAW Trust, during Mental Health Week. Thirteen current and former hairdressing and beauty apprentices who broadened their career horizons by taking part in work experience visits to Europe over the past five years were reunited at an event in Cardiff.
